Daily Market Highlights

U.S. markets received support from July CPI data, which came in line with expectations. Consumer prices rose 0.1% month-on-month, while annual inflation eased to 3.4%. The data reduced expectations of a Federal Reserve rate hike in September and improved market sentiment.

Asian equities rallied strongly, with South Korea’s Kospi gaining 4.4% and Japan’s Nikkei rising 1.86%. Technology stocks and improved Fed expectations supported risk appetite.

Oil prices remain elevated amid geopolitical risks. Brent crude is trading around $88, while WTI is near $82.6. U.S.-Iran tensions and uncertainty surrounding the Strait of Hormuz remain key drivers for the oil market.

Gold remains above $4,400 as expectations of a Fed rate hike weaken. Investors are now watching U.S. PPI data and further signals on the Fed’s monetary policy path.
