Nvidia Shares Drop Amid China Export Ban
Nvidia shares fell 3% on Thursday after a 7% drop the previous day after the U.S. government effectively banned exports of its chips to China. The company said it expects a revenue loss of $5.5 billion in Q1 due to a halt in sales of China-specific H20 chips, which were developed to comply with earlier trade restrictions.After two days of declines, Nvidia’s market capitalization fell to $2.47 trillion, losing $266 billion since the new rules were announced.
